Whoa, this day wiped me out something fierce. Post loooooooong work day I took Mindy out for the evening. We had a great time at Nick’s pub listening to this guy John, a guitarist and does some old Irish folk music which is very cool. We both needed to really cut free for an evening like that, moving forward we are both excited and really getting anxious to tie the knot! :D

Today was a good day, woke up after sleeping in, Mindy and I went to IHOP for a brunch, then off to tan for a bit, trying to put a good base on before we head to the Rivera Maya resort for the honeymoon, don’t want to burn you know. Had to work the game today with a bunch of noobies so I was outta here for most of the evening. After tanning though we spent the afternoon back in bed, it was a nice change of pace. At present I’m about to head to bed, it’s late and I have a fourteen hour day ahead of me tomorrow :(
We’ll be getting the final bits of the reception taken care of on Monday/Tuesday, I will cover most of that, it’s been a godsend that we had a little help on both sides, more on Mindy’s side so far. I plan to make up for that in no time, I ended up having to spend a tad more of my earnings on some debts incurred from lawyer fees and other stuff that happened to me last year.

Man, today was supposed to be a relaxing day off but it seems not to go that way. I have to work because my boss cannot schedule anything properly and left one of my team members to work the game by herself. And at present my team member is not here and the gates are open at the game, so I’m stuck here by my lonesome. It’s okay, I’m probably not good company at the moment anyway.
This Saturday I have to work the Taste of Saint Louis, from 9am to 11pm, I hate those looooooong, outdoor, can’t really ever sit down sort of days. I may lose my mind completely that day and do something really stupid at work, it’s not outside the realm of possibility…

This will be updated shortly. Did some more tanning today, still not getting that bronzed god-like look that I’m wanting. After work today I think I need to hit a local watering hole for a cocktail, maybe Mindy and I will head out to The Famous Bar for a drink or so. We haven’t gone out for a drink in a while.

Okay, most times when someone starts out with that “See, I have a friend who…” and goes into a dilemma that is en route it’s easily seen that they themselves are their “friend”. What makes me wonder this afternoon, aside from my friend who has a dilemma, is how does a person with only one friend is to tackle this quandary with their only friend? That would make it ten times tougher to not let on that they in fact are having an issue. Sometimes in life you want to seek help and find truth in a situation but you really cannot for a variety of reasons, people try many forms of alternative methods to deal with issues as they arrive. Some people turn to meditation, some to drinking and others to medication, and yet others to all aforementioned devices. So in todays chaotic world which is the best way to effectively solve problems or learn to cope? The sad but simple answer to that question is that I have no idea, not one. What works for Barney may not work for Lizzy, and what works for Lizzy may not help out Jorge, and how Jorge deals with his issues William will never understand. Sometimes it’s best to head off an obstacle headfirst without hesitation, when ripping a band-aid off really quickly it hurts just like if you did it slowly, but it will hurt for a shorter period of time. Other times it’s best to plan an attack, using covert ninja-like skills to catch an obstacle by surprise. in summation, I have a friend …

Well, I have this big not so bad weekend of work coming up. I am to train a few people at Busch Stadium on Friday for our events team, then work Saturday’s Taste of Saint Louis event. And I suppose I’m off on Sunday? Initially I thought I’d be working like a dog all weekend at this Taste event, but I suppose that’s not going to be so bad anyhow!
