Safari Sellout?

Apple has opened up Public Beta for Safari 3 today, I am currently testing on a remote PC, that’s right folks, a remote Windows machine! While I am not a big fan, nor a fan at all of Windows I do have to work with one for development reasons from time to time. This has been mentioned from time to time, but nobody thought it would actually happen, Apple to release their famed browser for a PC, then again, they did give the Windows users iTunes, and went from PowerPC to Intel for processors… Anyway, give it a try, for Mac/Win at apple.com/safari.

I’ll post my “official” test shortly of how it works on this Windows box, as well as the Intel Mac here at work and my PowerPC at home.

What folks are saying about on “Safari Sellout?”

  1. Oddly enough the browser seems to operate just fine on Windows, albeit not a true test because I am using Remote Desktop so it’s a window within a window but seems to operate faster than IE7, and right about the same speed with Firefox. On the intel mac it seems sluggish to start but starts to pep up in a respectable timeframe. On my G4 here at home (which I’m commenting with at this moment) it seems quite peppy, I figured the Windows machine and my older Powermac would be the slower of the machines. I have caught wind of some people having issues with bugs, mainly Windows users and security stuff, but hey, they’re Windows users, they should be used to it, right?

    Sorry, just a stab at PC from a Mac…
