As a proud Irishman I am stoked that it’s St. Patrick’s Day! Of course it’s not really a big deal to some, but I’m off to get my drink on either way!

Don’t get me totally wrong, I love my city, but really hate living in the city limits sometimes. As a proud homeowner in the City of St. Louis, I am bestowed with the privilege of paying an extra 1% on my income taxes (which I never see services like snow plowing or anything in relation). And today, I got two tickets on a car that my wife and I picked up yesterday afternoon. The tickets were because the car is unlicensed, and for good reasons it’s unlicensed.
- Got the car home at 3:30pm
- License beauro closes at noon
- Have to get a few things fixed so it will pass inspection
- Basically time+money were working against us for the day
So for now, what does this hard working American taxpayer say?
FUCK YOU SAINT LOUIS! I’LL BUY ELSEWHERE NEXT YOU GREEDY PRICKS!

I started tweeting a little while back, yes I indeed was a late adopter. But in my course I have discovered that it is in fact a pretty big waste of time, but am I quitting, nope. I like to follow other designers and developer and get an idea of what is going on in their lives, this can help in enriching current trends or even knowing about the "Next Big Thing" so I’m not so far away like I was with the twitter. Just a latté night posting.

Well, it’s Election Year again, we know this because of the media hoopla of course, but also by the fact that it’s a Leap Year. My birthday was two days ago, but I wasn’t close to a leap year kid because I was born in 1977, however I did always wonder about the people born on a Leap Day. I think it is something like if you were born in the AM of Leap Day your government recognized birthday is the 28th, and it’s March 1st if you were a PM person (not totally sure but it makes sense). But how cool would it be to have officially been born on a Leap Day, you get a 48-hour birthday celebration every four years!
Just a random thought, working the day away and waiting for another four hours to pass so that I may begin my weekend. No real plans for the weekend but I intend to get some writing done for media|extranet, so we’ll see how that goes. Also have to do an upgrade of vBulletin for an old friend of mine and have a WP template project, so I suppose a lot of things are planned, but not really any partying ones, heh.

I really have to say that I’m impressed with the light footprint and ease of use for Chyrp, seems to be a few issues while using Safari 3 Mac + WYSIWYG backend (cannot easily link, but oh well). Seemingly good community support makes me think that this platform will only get better!
I’m trying to get myself situated as a professional (media|extranet) and back to personal (here). My other blog is wordpress powered and resides at iam.cell7.org, this poor site is in serious need of updating, or porting to Chyrp, I may have to sit down and figure out the data import method between the two, unless someone comes out with one sooner, heh.

It’s that time of year, freelance work is slow due to companies trying to get their budgets fine tuned. And of course it’s when this happens that I usually need the extra cheddar. Working fulltime, balancing family, home, pets, and most importantly my wife (I love you smoochie!) can take it’s toll.
So if anyone knows of any freelance work that needs done, some css ninja type shit, php, wordpressing, Joomla/Virtuemart, hell, I can do a ton of things. Send me some emailage!

So today I left for work, drove a ton of time to get there and become the only one, then Chris showed up and finally Ed (our accountant). We all decided with the weather looking more and more dismal that it was time to leave around the halfway mark, most others didn’t even attempt to come in.
But that’s no matter I suppose, I came home and have been working since. Drat, it seems as if I’m always working. If the weather is like this tomorrow, I’m totally not working all day! Besides, all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy…
